Frequently asked questions
This entirely depends on the issues that you would like to explore, what your goals are, how much time you can commit and other factors. The first few sessions will help us to establish a time-frame together. You’ll never be pressured about how many sessions you should have, it will be your decision. Shorter term work to address specific concern, a work issue or a recent traumatic event may be between 6-12 sessions or more if required. It may be that you want to make changes in your life at a deep-rooted level. There are no time limitations on this type of in-depth work, you can attend sessions for as long as it feels helpful to you.
My fee for a session is £65. Fees for a meeting both face to face and online are the same. We work for 50 minutes in the hour. Your first session is paid for via a Stripe link at least 48 hours before our session. For future sessions, the fee is taken automatically on the morning of your session. 48 hours notice is required if you are unable to attend so that I can use the appointment for another client. The full fee is payable if the appointment is unattended or cancelled within this time. I fully accept that emergencies do happen and will try to work with you but short term cancellations can often be an indication that you are valuing others before yourself. I’m committed to our time and it’s important you are too. I will of course try to reschedule your session if we can find a time that works for us both.
Absolutely. I know it can be daunting trying to find a Therapist that you feel you will be able to work with and trust. I believe the quality of the relationship is at the very heart of successful therapy. With this in mind, I offer a free and informal short telephone/online consultation to get a feel if we are a good fit for each other.
Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to the work we will do together. I will explain my policy to you when we meet. I will only ever share what you say with another person if I have reason to think that there is a risk of serious harm either to you or to another person and would always aim to speak with you first.
You can check the booking page and see if there is an appointment available. If not, you can make contact via the form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can - usually within one working day.
